DAY 8: From Psalm 52

My soul finds rest in You alone; my salvation comes from You. Today and each day, I place my trust in You.

Help me not admire evil, or trust in my own might. For then I would be a disgrace in your eyes, O God.

Keep my words from plotting destruction; and keep me from the practice of deceit. Remind me of the power of my words.

Empower me to love good rather than evil. 

Empower me to speak truth rather than falsehood. 


May my words be helpful instead of harmful. May I be an encouragement and bring your Living Water to those whom I encounter this day. 


(Pause)

God, be my stronghold. I will not trust in wealth. I will not trust in my own abilities. I will not trust in my own strength or the strength of others.
Help me as I trust in You alone. 

For then, I will flourish, as
I trust in your unfailing love forever and ever.

I will praise you forever for what you have done;
in your name I will hope, for your name is good. 


I will praise you in the presence of others.
