DAY 6: From Psalm 40

My soul finds rest in You alone; my salvation comes from You. Today and each day, I place my trust in You.

I wait patiently for you, God. (Pause)

Turn and hear my prayer. You lift me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; out of my own selfish desires and plans.

Set my feet on the rock and give me a firm place to stand.

Put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to You.

Many will see and hear and put their trust in You.

I want to make you my trust! Free me from looking elsewhere for security and comfort. Free me from looking to my false gods.
(Pause)

Many are the wonders you have done. The things you have planned for us are too vast for us to know or to speak.

Here I am, I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.

Help me speak of your faithfulness and salvation. Help me not conceal your love and your truth from the people you have placed in my life.

Our souls find rest in You alone; our salvation comes from You. Today and each day, we place our trust in You.
